Founder Stories: Michael Keane On Building Euro Girls Escort

In today’s Founder Story, we feature Michael Keane, the founder of Euro Girls Escort!

1. Please introduce your business and share your role. 

My name is Michael Keane, and I’m the founder of Euro Girls Escort. Over six years ago, I launched the company with the goal of creating a high-quality escort directory website and bringing it to market.

We primarily sell advertising space within the escort industry, with our main clients being independent escorts, escort agencies, and strip clubs. Additionally, we also offer banner ads for other types of websites, including dating, webcam, and adult entertainment sites.

Starting from scratch, we now have grown to a team of around 20 employees, and our annual revenue has become quite significant. Today, we are recognized as one of the largest escort directories globally. Our brand, established over the years, is known for representing international advertising in escort services at the highest level. 

2. What’s your backstory, what kind of challenges did you face, and how did you come up with your business idea?

I worked in an IT firm in the adult business where we created websites for escort agencies and adult entertainment sites. My specialization particularly was SEO and internet marketing. 

Evidently, creating a great business sometimes takes years not days. There are a lot of hurdles to overcome and this can be frustrating. But with each business you launch, things get better. 

With years of experience in this segment, I made up my mind and launched this business by creating the EuroGirlsEscort portal. Starting an international website in English was initially a challenge since I’m not a native English speaker. 

In addition to all these, the adult business comes with its own set of challenges unlike any other. For instance, most banks deny your financing requests. Therefore you need a funding source that supports adult businesses and the chances of getting good rates there and proceeding with them are small. 

Moreover, there are legal considerations. So far we advertise in over 120 countries and in some of them the laws that affect our business can be really complicated. For example, based on the  American SESTA-FOSTA law, we were forced to close an advertisement in the USA. In another instance, we encountered prohibition due to coronavirus in the Netherlands. This again limited our advertising options. 

3. How did you prepare for, and go about your launch?

I have had experience creating ads for escort agencies and independent girls and advertising on popular escort directory websites. I knew well that this is a crowded market since there are hundreds of these websites on the market. But the gap was that none of these met the highest standards. 

I wanted to address this gap and that’s what helped me come up with this unique concept – a single portal to access all essential information. Particularly one that’s user-friendly for advertisers and clients alike. 

When I graduated in 2013, my idea took shape and by 2014, we entered the market. Finally, I hired my first employee in the year 2017. Growing from there, we now have a team of 20. 

4. Since launching, what types of marketing campaigns and designs have worked best to attract and retain customers?

SEO has been a very important part of promoting our business and bringing traffic to our website.

We recently redesigned our website completely to meet the latest standards. Moreover, we also launched our site in 6 additional languages. Our aim here is to expand and become relevant to local markets. We have been working on weekly upgrades to help us progress. 

5. What are your favorite marketing platforms/tools?

One of the most important tools is Ahrefs for SEO. Additionally, our platform is made on Nette Framework, Php the latest version. We do upgrades as soon as we can. 

6. What are some lessons you’ve learned along the way that you would share with entrepreneurs hoping to launch or who have just launched? 

Competition is essential for enhancing services. For those considering starting a business, it’s crucial to develop a strong concept from the beginning; without it, all efforts can easily lead to a dead end. But my advice is never to give up. Remember, creating a business takes time!  

We’ve observed the importance of creating high-quality content. Websites like ours are targeted by several scammers. But that’s not just us – many major websites deal with fake and fraudulent ads and this can be tough. We work constantly to identify and eliminate such malicious ads and so should you. 

Yes, in this business it might not be possible to prevent such scams altogether but all you can do is to focus on creating content of the highest standards.
